Are two trial sites similar in terms of specific conditions?
How can we quickly progress past the bottleneck of trial results?
Crop and plant protection industry: Some field trials need to be substituted or completed as part of a Biological Assessment Dossier (BAD).
Registration Authorities: Easier acceptance of foreign field data.
The SSC “Site Similarity Certificate” proves the similarity of two defined cropping sites (1:1) in two different regions, also across boundaries, effectively bridging the lack of field data or acting as a substitute for protracted and cost-intensive field trials. In addition, safeguarding the trial results by objective information is also possible. The SSC makes the decisions more secure and much more objective for the registration authorities. Satellite image technology (biomass development), physical-geographic parameters (climate, weather data, soil characteristics) and agricultural parameters (crop phenology, land use, yield, etc.) are analyzed and compared.
