Spatial Business Integration is specialised on consultancy services and software based solution development within a comprehensive geospatial information management in government bodies and companies. Our team can look back on 20 years of technical expertise from over 80 successfully conducted projects. We focus our activities on following markets: public sector organisations, power supply industry and agrochemical industry.
During the 80’s and 90’s, the implementation of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) at municipalities and government bodies and the implementation of network information systems at power supply and IT companies took the centre stage of our projects.
Today however, our activities greatly concentrate on advising our clients on how to develop and design Geospatial Data Infrastructures (GDI) in the framework of eGovernment and intermunicipal cooperations and how to design and implement process and GIS oriented software solutions.
For that purpose Spatial Business Integration intensively interacts with innovative key market players (technology companies as well as research and development institutions) in the eGovernment environment.
Besides, in the field of geoinformatics and remote sensing, Spatial Business Integration closely works together with German and European Organisations like The German Space Agency (DLR) and The European Space Agency (ESA) and takes an active part in research networking, for example with the GeoForschungzentrum (GFZ) in Potsdam.
Spatial Business Integration also organises events and, in actively participating in national and international congresses, the company has substantially contributed to the development and integration of GIS in Europe. Dr. Jürgen Born, the company’s General Manager, is one of the founders of the German Umbrella Organisation for Geoinformation (DDGI) of which he has been the chairman of the advisory board and its vice president during several years.
